Tor Browser Setup

Tor Browser is the only recommended way to access Nexus Market. Download it exclusively from torproject.org and verify the cryptographic signature before installation. Set the security level to Safest in the Security Settings panel. This disables JavaScript and provides the strongest protection against browser fingerprinting and exploit delivery.

Why Tor Browser Only

Regular browsers leak your IP address even when using a VPN. Tor Browser routes all traffic through multiple encrypted relays, making it practically impossible to trace your connection back to your physical location. Nexus Market is only accessible via the Tor network using v3 onion addresses — these cannot be accessed through regular browsers.

PGP Two-Factor Authentication

Nexus Market requires PGP 2FA for all accounts. After entering your password, the platform encrypts a unique challenge to your PGP public key. You must decrypt this challenge with your private key to complete login. Even if your password is stolen, an attacker cannot log in without your PGP private key.

Setting Up PGP on Nexus Market

Generate a PGP key pair using GPG or Kleopatra. Upload your public key to your Nexus Market account immediately after registration. Store your private key and passphrase offline — never on a device connected to the internet. Back up your private key to an encrypted USB drive stored in a secure physical location.

Monero Privacy Payments

Nexus Market supports Monero as its primary payment method. Monero provides protocol-level privacy through ring signatures, stealth addresses and RingCT — features that make transactions untraceable by design. Bitcoin offers no equivalent privacy without additional steps and is not recommended for Nexus Market transactions.

Acquiring Monero Privately

Purchase Monero through peer-to-peer exchanges that do not require identity verification. Alternatively, buy Bitcoin anonymously through a cash ATM and swap to Monero using a non-custodial atomic swap service. Never send XMR directly from a KYC exchange to a Nexus Market order address — always withdraw to your own wallet first.
